The fall sitting of the PEI Legislature opens Tuesday.
One of the highlights will be the presentation of the Capital Budget.
There are also a number of Ministers with new portfolios as a result of the cabinet shuffle announced in October. Rob Lantz is now the Minister of Education and Early Years, replacing Natalie Jameson who resigned from cabinet to pursue the federal Conservative nomination for Charlottetown. Ministers with new portfolios since the Spring Sitting include Cory Deagle as Economic Development, Innovation and Trade Minister; Gilles Arsenault as Environment, Energy and Climate Action Minister; Steven Myers with Housing, Land and Communities; and Jenn Redmond with the added responsibility of Minister Responsible for the Status of Women. There’s also a new Minister of Fisheries, Tourism, Culture and Sport in Zack Bell.
