Wildlife officials in PEI are now using 40 trail cameras to keep an eye on what’s happening in province’s woods and streams. The province’s Forests, Fish and Wildlife division has already collected many impressive images, including shots of coyotes and foxes. Wildlife biologist Matt Ginn told C-B-C News that other pictures includes families of pheasants, grouse, a great blue heron and a Hungarian partridge. Ginn says these species haven’t been monitored before, aside from statistics kept for animals trapped for their fur.
