Republican Donald Trump is just a hair away from winning the White House following U-S election victories early Wednesday morning in Pennsylvania, Georgia and North Carolina.
By capturing three of the seven heavily contested battleground states, he’s now only three electoral votes from winning the presidency.
The A-P’s current count has him at 267 of the 270 electoral votes he needs to become America’s 47th president. Others have him at 266 electoral votes.
He is leading in key races left to be called, including Michigan and Wisconsin.
Trump addressed supporters at about 2:30 Eastern Time Wednesday at his campaign headquarters in West Palm Beach, Florida.
He pledged to fight for every citizen, their families, and their futures — and said he won’t rest until he’s delivered — quote — “the strong, safe and prosperous America that our children deserve.”
